That brought back memories!
Watching Jimmy Marshall on Bludgers Revelation.
After studying the film a few years ago we made an attempt on the climb.
I can still hear Tony Womersley’s comment, “I’m sure Jimmy Marshall went left here” as he traversed RIGHT along the great flake to the base of the crux pitch of Shobboleth!!
At that point a drama unfolded the like of which I have never experienced before or since.
The best part of 11 hours we were on that face in the end!
I did write it up at the time but it was on the old website so sadly lost now.
