Gimmer is one of the best crags in the lakes. It is home to a wide range of classic climbs particularly in the grade range between VD to E1. It is a reasonably complex crag particularly on first acquaintance. It is probably not the place to go first for inexperienced teams, however less experienced individuals linking up with someone with the requisite skill and experience will find much to enjoy. The Langdale valley also offers a number of lower lying crags should the weather not be in our favour on the day.
