Following a day of drizzle, four of us spent a couple of hours gingerly working our way up damp rock in the evening sunshine. Dabbing foot and handholds in chalk, we managed Three Slab Route (MS**), Flake Climb (S***) and Long Chimney (D***) Andy pictured at the finger-jam. I have to admit that despite their grades, the conditions help to focus the mind and enhance the enjoyment of precision footwork!

The Cow & Calf offered a quality guest ale but can only muster (4pt*).

Another sunny Sunday and five of us spent the day easy cragging ranging from Fretsaw (HVD*) to Sickle Direct (VS 5a***). Pictured Shirley and Paul on Ballad of the Irish Horse (VS*)

Another ‘Great’ Yorkshire evening on the rock where six of us scaled the stared classics of Crossover(HS**), Kestrel Groove(HS**), Scimitar not to be repeated sandbag!(VS+++**), Scabbard (HVS ++**) and Lister’s Arms (6pt **)

Despite a somewhat windy evening, six devotees accomplished a fine collection of routes including, Zig-Zag (S), Flake Climb (S*), Flower Power (VS**), Sundowner (VS**), Wrinkle Slab Direct (VS**), Ginger (VD*) and some epic on the Legover Groove Area. All topped out at The Talbot (***)

A great evening was had at Crook Rise by a select few ticking the classics on Arsenic Slab in addition to Tiger Rag (HS)  and Craven Crack (VS)
