Threshfield Quarry, Conistone & Grass Wood

Meet at YDNP Visitors Centre CP at Grassington. BD23 5LB.
The plan is to meet at the YDNP car park at 10:00AM heading off at 10:10AM down to the quarry at Threshfield via Linton Falls and the fields. From there the route wanders up the side of Threshfield Quarry onto Green Haw Hill before descending into Conistone. At this point we can choose between ascending to The Dalesway via Conistone Dib and then back down to the River Wharfe through Grass Woods or taking a somewhat shorter route to Grass Woods before joining the river and back to Grassington. This will depend upon how we are doing time wise and the varying levels of exhaustion!
For those wishing to cut out the first section, park at the quarry (982 638) no later than 10.25AM and await our arrival. Others can transport drivers back to their cars after the walk & pub. The walk is approximately 15K/17K and likely to take to 3 - 4 hours. Adjourn to the Devonshire after.
