The Rocky Valley hosts six distinct buttresses with a number of excellent routes, many in the higher grades, but a good evening's worth at lower grades.

Approach notes
Located around 800m to the west Ilkley (Cow and Calf), the Rocky Valley can be approached in approx. 50 mins. Steep ascents from the valley floor lead to the foot of each area but if a specific target is in mind, then it is best to take the crag-top path, then descend at the flank of the relevant buttress
