Grassington, Mines and Hebden Gill (Walk)

The Grassington Meet will start at the main Yorkshire Dales National Park car park off the B6268 south of Grassington village, North Yorkshire. BD23 5LB - GR SD 002 637.

The walking route will be a clockwise route of about 13.5k (9 miles) taking in about 288m (945ft) of ascent.
The proposed route is a clockwise circular route through the village of Grassington over Kimpergill Hill and up to Bare House and then south easterly to Yarnbury. Passing through the remains of the lead mines we'll drop down to join Hebden Beck through Hebden village to join the Dales Way riverside path adjacent to the river Wharfe which we'll follow to Linton Falls and Sedber Lane back to the start point. An optional extension of the route by about 2k to take in a larger part of the mines will be decided on the day by the attendees.
Refreshments afterwards at The Devonshire Arms or other hostelry at Grassington - passed earlier in the day.
