Meets Calendar

Adrian Cam has kindly offered to run an Avalanche Safety Course exclusively for CMC members. Adrian is not charging for the course, but as there is a cost for the room, we are asking for a contribution of £5 per person.

The two hour course will cover the key precautions and assessment techniques necessary for responsible winter climbing and walking. These will include:
• Pre-trip planning
• Interpretation of avalanche forecasts
• Terrain analysis.
• Decision making before and during the day.
• …..plus whatever other areas people would like to ask about.

Adrian has many years of winter mountaineering and ski-touring experience, and is a valued CMC member. He's an IFMGA guide and has taught on many avalanche courses for both weekend-warrior and professional groups.

We’ve created an Avalanche Safety Course group within the CMC WhatsApp Community. If you’re interested in taking part, please request to join the group as soon as possible as numbers will be limited to about a dozen.
