The proposed route is to take the Thwaite Lane bridleway from the church leading east towards Austwick, crossing new Close Plantation and Robin Proctor's Scar onto Norber & Thwaite Scars. Heading north to the substantial cairn on Long Scar we'll follow the Pennine Bridleway on to Sulber Gate. Then dropping down easterly to Thieves Moss we'll make our way to pick up the footpath along the edge of Moughton Scars limestone pavement. On passing Capple Bank we'll drop down into Crummackdale to join the intake lane passing Hunterstye and Studrigg to the village of Wharfe. A short section of quiet roadway then takes us into Austwick village here we pick up a footpath crossing an ancient field system back to the car park at Clapham.
Refreshments afterwards at The Old Manor House adjacent to by the car park.
