CMC/YMC Joint Club Walk (A Wander in the Mallerstang and the Forgotten Ridge)

A 13 mile walk exploring the Mallerstang Valley and the ridge on the east side of the valley Inc High Seat and the tops of Lunds Fell. The ridge enjoys fantastic views south into the Yorkshire Dales and North into Cumbria. Usually devoid of people but with a good number of stone cairns indicating greater historic activity.
Depending upon the weather on the day we can choose the best way round. Also options for keeping it low level if weather is less than favourable.
Circa 630 metres of ascent. Some good paths but otherwise hill paths and atv tracks.
Parking at either of two off-road parking areas that are about 50 metres apart on east side of road just south of Cotegill Bridge (SD 774 968)
Meet 10am.....with your boots on. Gather in the northerly parking area.
