The latest walking exploit on the clubs programme found us in the less frequented part of the Howgills around Bowderdale and Weasdale. It proved to be a perfect escape from the crowds on a beautiful Bank Holiday weekend with new ground to explore and enjoy. Ascending via Hooksey and Randygill Top we could see for miles. The M6 could be seen in the far distance as we descended over Hazelgill Knott and a debate on the history of the M6 proved informative!! Honestly as an old dinosaur there are times when google on the hills certainly has its plus points!! Anyway a lot has changed since 1970 is all I can say giving us the opportunity to do the odd Munro or Corbett in a 4/5 hours drive or less!! So thanks for the company and chatter a good day had by all.
