WALK DESCRIPTION: a relaxed, circular 10 mile jaunt in the upper reaches of Nidderdale, much of it on the Nidderdale Way; taking in Lofthouse, Scar House reservoir and Middlesmoor; highest elevation 1400 feet, no particular summit; good views, weather permitting.

MEET: in large lay-by on RIGHT, 200 metres beyond village of Lofthouse on road towards Middlesmoor; 6 large recycling bins present in lay-by; GR098735. Coming from Grassington on B6265, descend into Pateley Bridge and turn left immediately after garage on left, signposted to the various above villages and How Stean Gorge, and proceed past Gouthwaite reservoir, through Ramsgill and Lofthouse to above lay-by.
